HER2 identification

The uPath software with the uPath HER2 (4B5) algorithm helps with the quantitative assessment of HER2 (4B5) protein expression in IHC stained FFPE neoplastic breast tissue slides. Whether they are stained or unstained, the uPath HER2 (4B5) algorithm counts the total number of target tumor cells and stratifies the tumor cells. Stain intensity and completeness of membrane staining is how stained cells are stratified. The uPath HER2 (4B5) algorithm combines percent stained (stained, unstained), stain intensity (weak, moderate, strong) and stain completeness (unstained, partial, complete) to generate an HER2 score on a scale of 0–3+. The uPath HER2 (4B5) algorithm reports the HER2 score for both ROI and an aggregate score for all selected ROIs on that slide.

The uPath HER2 Dual ISH image analysis for Breast algorithm is intended for use as an aid to the pathologist to determine HER2 gene status by enumeration of the ratio of the HER2 gene to Chromosome 17, in formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded neoplastic breast tissue specimens. When used with the VENTANA HER2 Dual ISH Assay, it is indicated as an aid in the assessment of breast cancer patients for whom Herceptin®(trastuzumab) treatment is being considered.

The uPath PD-L1 (SP263) image analysis, NSCLC algorithm is an adjunctive computer-assisted tool that identifies PD-L1 negative and positive tumor cells within a pathologist-annotated viable tumor region in images of formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded neoplastic lung tissue.
